For 18 years Mr. Sweet was editor of the national magazine of the Hotel Restaurant Employees international Union headquartered here He besan his career In 1041 as editor-publisher of a weekly newspaper in Mt. Qllead, Ohio, and subsequently worked for the Office of Price Administration In Washington and the United Auto Workers In Detroit. Last June he retired as editor of the St.

Pawl Union Advocate after four years in the Job. He received three national awards for editorials written for the Advocate and was the immediate past-president of the International Labor Press Association. Survivors Include his widow, Mrs. Eldred Sweet, St. Paul; two sons, David, Santa Oruz, and John, Atlanta; two daughters, Miss Mamie Sweet, Chicago, and Mrs.

Anne Cain, Cincinnati; a brother, John, Chappaqua, N.Y., and two sisters, Mrs- Elizabeth Barge ant, Orandvllle, Ohio, and Mrs. Arthur Darrow, San Fernando, Calif. The memorial service will be at 11 a. m. Monday In the First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis.

Robert Bergman Robert Bergman, 25 Superior Ft. Mitchell, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He retired after 40 years as executive vice president and cashier at the First National Bank, Covington. He also was president of the Madison Savings Loan, Covington.

He was a veteran of World War I and served with the Purdue Ambulance Corps for 22 months, Including 11 months In Italy. Survivors include his widow, Mildred, and a daughter, Miss Mary E. Bergman, at home. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a. m.
