She was born to Thomas and Clara (Sauter) on January 12, 1927. On November 10, 1951, she commenced years of loving devotion to the late Joseph Perry.

Marilyn and Joe had seven children: Sally, Eileen (Bob) Luby, Joe (Julie), Dan (Kim), Molly (Darryl) McFarland, Amy and Brian (Jeannie). In addition, she was a cherished grandma to Mat- thew, Claire and Andrew Luby, Caitlin and Robby Perry, Nathan Perry, Kaylah and Perry McFarland and Tommy, Katie and Anna Perry. She also leaves her in-laws, Mary Tore, Betty Perry and Ruth (Bill) Smith. She was predeceased by her brother, Bob (Betty) and by in-laws Fr. Norman Perry, OFM, Bill Perry and Ann (Stan) Koize.

A lifelong member of St. Mary Parish, she was an alumna of St. Mary grade school and high school. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church, Hyde Park.

PERRY On Sunday, January 7, 2018, Edward Pilis, hus- band, and father passed away at the age of 94 in Milford, OH.

Ed will be forever remembered by his wife of 65 years Wanda (Terry), and their children, Jeanne Pilis, Tom Pilis and his wife Judy, Joe Pilis and his wife Desiree; and their grandchil- dren Steven, Matt, Christopher, Zoe and Madison. Ed was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy for which he served from 1942 until 1948 as a Machin- ist Mate on the U.S.S. Lamson. He worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard before his 29-year employ- ment with Procter Gamble as a maintenance mechanic.

He retired from Port Ivory in 1989. hobbies were woodworking, shing, gar- dening, collecting stamps, travelling and bowl- ing. He was very active in a number of Staten Island Clubs. Ed was a lector for St. RC Church in Travis for 28 years.

Daily crossword puzzles kept her mind sharp while every Xavier Musketeer basketball game kept her heart racing. While we will miss her dearly, we comfort in knowing she is at peace and will look forward to the quiet remind- ers of her steady presence as life moves forward. She was born April 7, 1935, the daughter of Al- bert and Veronica (Kreitemyer) Utrup.

She was preceded in death by her par- ents and siblings, Brother Leo Utrup C.P.P.S. and Dorothy Kleman. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Lucia Utrup, brother-in-law, Wilfred Kleman, and niece, Linda Miller. She is survived by her brother, Harold Utrup of Ottawa; seven nieces and nephews and their their spous- es, Gib (Shirley) Kleman, Emma (Jerome) Horst- man, Mel (Alice) Kleman, Dan (Cynthy) Kleman, Tony (Teresa) Kleman, Cathy (Bill) Ward, and Deb (Mike) Haselman; many great-nieces and neph- ews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews. Alberta attended St.

Michael parochial school in Kalida, Ohio for elementary and the Academy Notre Dame of Providence in Newport, Ken- tucky for High School. She graduated from Villa Madonna College in Covington, Kentucky (now Thomas Moore College) with a degree and Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio with a degree in Education. In June 1949, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence in Melbourne, Kentucky. She made her profession of vows in August 1953 and was a religious sister for nearly 30 years, during which time she served as teacher and principle in elementary schools in Kentucky, Maryland, and Ohio. In 1981, Alberta participated in a Clinical Pastoral Education program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

and shortly thereafter became as a chaplain by the National As- sociation of Catholic Chaplains. For 27 years she served untiringly in ministry at Mercy Hospital Western Hills and Mercy Francis- can at Westpark, a Senior Living Community, both in Cincinnati. Alberta provided encouragement, support, comfort, and consolation to patients, resident, families and staff in both settings. Hers was a compassionate heart. Alberta enjoyed visiting with family and friends, being in nature, doing counted cross stitch and reading.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Gon- zaga parish in Bridgetown, Ohio and appreciated her ministries there as Lector and Eucharistic Min- ister. She also participated in St. Min- making blankets for hospitalized children. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St.

Aloysius Catholic Church, Cincinnati at a later date. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying of- Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa and one hour prior to mass on Thursday at the church. There will be a Scripture Service at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
