RELIGION Atwo-decade-old, growing collaboration of local churches, non-profits, businesses and other agencies called Clermont (WCT www.wrapping- clermont.com) comes together each year for a Christmas drive. This annual event, coordinated by Landmark Ministries (www.lbcohio.com) and at UC Clermont College (www.uccler- mont.edu), is designed to meet Christmas needs with such items as groceries, gifts for the kids, personal care items, Local musicians perform Christmas carols in the background while eve ryone chats as equals ver lunch. Community artnerships are leveraged to offer long-term guidance such as counsel- ing, life coaching, and financial education. Most importantly, folks find empathetic new friends who will listen, cry with and hug them while essentially restoring their basic human dignity. WCT is just one of the many ways our county is coming together to prevent and break cycles of poverty while leading our community toward meaningful, logical and efficient collaborations.

Multiple agencies are accepting the challenge to improve how Clermont County does social service. Some are working under the leadership of the Clermont County Safet Net Alliance www.ccsafetynet.org) to ethink how we serve needs involving food, housing and utilities. Contact WCT at 513201-7112 or check out www.wrappingclermont- com to see how you can be i nvolved. I you or someone you know, needs help this Christmas, call 201-7112 between Nov. 1and Nov.
