Robertson has scored 333 points in 13 games for a fine 25.6 average but the key man in the race is still four-time NBA scoring champion Wilt Chamberlain of the San Francisco Warriors.

Chamberlain ranks fourth in the scoring race with 275 points but and what a big b-u-t it is he has played in only nine games. That means Chamberlain has a 30.6 per game scoring average highest in the circuit and figures to catch up to Robertson and the two other stars currently leading him in total points unless they increase their production. Second to Robertson is Bob Pettit of the St. Louis Hawks, with 302 points in 11 games for a 27.5 average. Third is Jerry West of the Los Angeles Lakers with 296 points in 10 games for a 29.6 average.

The "games played" column is also the key column in the rebound race. Jerry Lucas of the Royals is the nominal leader with a total of 221 but his 17.2 per game average is exceeded by Boston Celtic star Bill Russell's 24.4, Chamberlain's 22.2 and Baltimore Bullet ace Walt Bellamy's 18.2.
