18 THE CINCINNATI ENQUIRER VERDICT Of $22.000 Returned In Newport Housing Value Case A jury of nine women and three men yesterday returned a verdict for $22,000 in behalf of Helen Koenig in Campbell Circuit Court against the Newport Housing Commission. The jury deliberated 40 minutes before returning the verdict to Judge Paul Stapleton, involving property at 111 W. Fifth Newport. Appraisers for the commission valued the threestory multi- apartment dwelling at Odis Bertelsman and William Bertelsman, attorneys for the woman, sought $42,000. Morris Weintraub Benjamin Sampson represented the commission.

Cook retired Fort Thomas police chief, now visiting in Clearwater: three brothers. Henry J. Cook. attorney for the Committee of 500, Louis W. Cook III, a captain with Fort Thomas Police Department, and John F.

Cook, Fort Thomas city councilman, and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Krogman, Fort Thomas, and Mrs. Betty Fillmore, Columbus, Ohio. Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a. Friday, in the chapel of United Church of Christ, Fort Thomas.

Funeral services will be conducted at the same time at Rhodes Funeral Home, Clearwater. Burial will be in Clearwater. Gillham, 41 Highview Ft. Thomas, died yesterday in St. Luke Hospital. The dentist maintained offices, 618 York Newport, until he retired in 1957. He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Miss Sarra, at home.

He was a 60-year member of Robert Burns Lodge, and was a graduate of old Cincinnati Dental College. Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday in Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas, with burial in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call at funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. Oscar Frakes Services for Oscar O. Frakes will be conducted at 2 p. m.

Friday liamstown Baptist Church. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Mr. Frakes was 77 when he died in Booth Hospital, Monday. He lived in Williamstown.

A retired merchant, he had been in the furniture business more than 50 years. He was a deacon of the Williamstown Baptist Church, a member of Grant Lodge, and of Indra Consistory, Scottish Rite, Covington. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Carlita Carpenter, Williamstown, and a son, Oscar Frakes Cincinnati. Friends may call after 4 p.

m. tomorrow at the Elliston and Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Miss Cummins Miss Lillie B. Cummins, 74, of Cad do, Pendleton County, died Tuesday in Booth Hospital, Covington. She is survived by a brother, Carl, and a sister, Mrs.

Thomas McGann Thomas McGann, 68, a retired switchman of the Pennsylvania Railroad, died late yesterday in the Veterans' Administration Hospital, Cincinnati. He retired three years ago after more than 25 years' service with the railroad. His home was at 1014 Washington Newport.

His survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Williams. Ft. Thomas; four sisters, Miss Mabel and Miss Margaret McGann and Mrs. Helen Lange, of Ludlow and Ft.
