com HALL Clifford E. Sr. On March 24, 2008 Cliff Hall Sr. died peacefully, passing from this earthly life on to eternal life with Christ. During his last days Cliff was surrounded by his family from Ohio, California and Texas.

Cliff had lived in Deer Park since 1951. A native of Latonia, Kentucky, Cliff was married to Kathryn Gilligan with whom he shared fifty three years of marriage. Cliff was a devoted father of six children Chris, Cliff, Janie Bove, Joseph Bill and Katie Brown. He was a generous and loving grandfather to his grandchildren Clare, Joey, Leah, Marty, Molly, Aidan, Celia and Christian and greatgrandfather to Lily and Elliott. Kathryn Hall and Reverend Chris Hall preceded Cliff in their deaths.

Cliff was a 32 year employee of the US Postal Service based out of the Taft Branch in Silverton, Ohio. Following retirement he also worked as the Postmaster at Xavier University. Cliff was a proud veteran of the US Army and served for four years in WWII, serving under General George Patton and his Third Army. He participated in five campaigns and four invasions including North Africa, Sicily, Italy and Southern France. He was awarded six bronze stars and the Purple Heart for the wounds he received.

Cliff was an avid sportsman and loved to fish, bowl and golf. He devoted many hours to coaching in knothole baseball in Deer Park and served as president of St. John's Dads Club. His devotion to serving others was second only to that of his faith, family and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday 7:00 pm St.

Mr. Lester was also a Mason Lodge in Cincinnati; he was a member of the Eagles in Port Charlotte, FL, a member of the Moose Lodge in Punta Gorda and he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1949 to 1951.
