She was 81. A Michigan native, she earned a diploma from St. Joseph School of Nursing, Mount Clemens, and worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Michigan before joining the Sisters of Charity in 1940.

She held the position of director of nursing services at Good Samaritan from 1952 to 1959, and again from 1963 to 1967. She also served in that capacity at the hospital.
