Teresa Memorial Fund or ESPY Boys Girls Club, 2312 Glenway Cincinnati 45204. Chillicothe warden removed after probe It found serious problems, so director Reginald Wilkinson and the governor's chief legal counsel asked Ohio Inspector General David Sturtz to look further. Sturtz's Feb. 14 report concluded: "Their mail was being intercepted, opened, read, copied and the contents reported to the central office of the department. It appears that most everyone but the veteran, experienced warden Terry Morris knew that one does not open legal mail, either incoming or outgoing, under any circumstances." Reading inmates' mail was legitimate, so long as attorney-client mail was not opened, Sturtz said.

The Cincinnati Enquirer Warden Terry Morris has been transferred from Chillicothe Correctional Institution and demoted because his staff opened and read letters to and from attorneys for former Lucasville inmates. Morris now is in Columbus, helping revise state criteria for classifying inmates, prisons spokeswoman Tessa Unwin said Tuesday. The correspondence belonged to three suspected ringleaders in the bloody Easter uprising. All were transferred to Chillicothe after the siege. When lawyers complained about interference with their letters last fall, the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction investigated.
