I think it's most unique and that it must have required more time, effort and architectural skill than the Kroger Building or the Carew Tower or a lot of other buildings. S. Supreme Court has been told In two briefs asking that Dr. Sheppard be returned to prison. William B. Saxbe, Ohio attorney general, who will argue the state's case before the high sent his brief to Washington Monday.

John T. Corrlgan, Cuyahoga County prosecutor, filing a brief as a friend of the court, contended "there was no Interference by the news media with the handling of this trial by the trial Judge." Dr. Sheppard, former Bay Village osteopath, was freed from Ohio Penitentiary In 1964 when a Federal Court Judge ruled that his trial was conducted amid an atmosphere of publicity that made a fair trial Impossible. The Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the Judge, but Dr. Sheppard remains free pending appeal to the Supreme Court Dr.

Sheppard was convicted of second-degree murder in the slaying of his first wife, Marilyn, and sentenced to life imprisonment. He resumed breathing but doctors warned his condition was very critical. Rabbi Adlers assailant, Richard Wlshnetsky, 23, a Phi Beta Kappa and former mental patient, was reported near death.
