Of these seven were drys and three were gas wells, while six old wells Is this district were abandoned. Conditions in the Lima fields havs Improved considerably in the last month, thnuKh a shortage of water for drilling purposes has somewhat retarded development. However, with the recent rains nnd warmer weather a heavy production in tire next three months Is anticipated by the locul operators.

Activities in the Houndhead field have been given a fresh impetus as a result of a pipe Hue Installed there recently by the Buckeye Pipe Line Company. This will greatly facilitate the transportation of the oil, since operators formerly shipped lt by freight, while the new method will save them from 30 to 35 cents on tho barrel.
